How it works

Our Process

Dealing with plantar fasciitis? Heel pain in the morning? Bunions? Our detailed exam will offer you practical solutions with the goal of reducing pain, and improving daily function.

Biomechanical Analysis

We begin with a detailed visual inspection of your feet, identifying any areas of discomfort. A gait analysis then offers valuable insights into how your unique foot structure may contribute to your symptoms, helping us tailor the best approach for you.

Foot Impression

If you’re ready to move forward with custom orthotics, we start by taking a precise 3D impression of your foot. This is typically done using a foam box, which captures your foot structure in a semi-weightbearing position. For individuals with sensitive feet, we offer a non-weightbearing 3D scan, ensuring a comfortable and accurate fit.

Foot Conditions

Common foot conditions we see.

Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is a common condition where the tissue along the bottom of the foot (the plantar fascia) becomes inflamed, often causing pain in the heel or arch. It’s usually worse in the morning or after long periods of standing or walking

Heel Pain

Heel pain may stem from plantar fasciitis, repetitive stress, or injury. Our main goal is to reduce pressure in this area by offloading the calcaneus.

Flat Feet (pes planus)

Not so much an issue as it is a structural description of the foot. Although many people may have "flat feet", most times its nothing to worry about. However when symptoms present become consistent, or exacerbated by certain activity, addressing hypermobility may be of benefit.

Bunions

A bunion is a bony bump that forms at the base of the big toe, causing the toe to drift towards the second toe. This can lead to pain, swelling, and difficulty wearing certain shoes.

Neuropathy

Neuropathy refers to damage or dysfunction of the nerves, often causing symptoms like tingling, numbness, or pain. We often see it in clients dealing with diabetic complications.

Diabetes

Clients with diabetes often have poor circulation, reduced sensory feedback in the feet, and increased risk of infection if not monitored. Our goal is both therapeutic and preventive. Reducing pressure is the ultimate goal.
