Functional Orthotics

When foot dysfunction becomes problematic, we can address various pathologies via corrective forces. Typically we use use semi-rigid shell designs by using nylon PA 12, with the intent of counter acting hypermobility.
Accommodative Orthotics

When dealing with a more sensitive foot, softer shell designs are well tolerated. Whether it be from diabetic complications, rigid deformities, or neuropathy, EVA foam shells are great options.

As our primary means of treatment, Canadian Certified Pedorthists are experts in orthotic design. We utilize state of the art CAD software to accurately craft effective devices. Combined with top quality materials, you are receiving a truly custom orthotic.

With advances in both CAD design and manufacturing, we have taken a leap forward towards a more digital workflow. While we still take a physical cast, all design work and manufacturing has drastically changed. We use FitFoot360, a leading orthotic software application. Combined with HP’s Multi Jet Fusion 3D printers, our orthotics are more accurate than ever. With additive manufacturing, there is less production waste compared with traditional techniques.

Our Process

Once your foot impression is taken, we digitally scan the box creating a digital file of your cast. This file is then modified via CAD software to design an effective orthotic just for you.

Posting angles, shell thickness, and heel cup heights are just some of the factors we look at. Your orthotic is then 3D printed using nylon PA 12 or direct milled with EVA. A comfy top cover is added for additional comfort and finished by hand.
